It is the service of providing the requested resources from the libraries of other universities and lending them to the user within the framework of certain rules of the resources that are not in the collection of Istanbul Gedik University Library.

General Terms and Conditions

1. Only our academic staff and graduate/doctoral students at Istanbul Gedik University can benefit from the Interlibrary Cooperation Tracking System (KITS) and TÜBESS services. Due to copyrights, not all of the resources can be photocopied.
2. Users can check whether the resource they want is available in our library by searching through Yordam address before making a request.
3. Requests can be made for articles and theses from the TÜBESS platform. The universities/libraries where the needed resource is available can be determined by searching the National Thesis Center (YÖK Tez Merkezi ) or TOKAT (Ulusal Toplu Katalog).
4. For the resources that are not available in our library, the KİTS & Document Provision Request Form should be filled in completely and the responsible librarian should send an e-mail request to ([email protected])
5. Users who wish to benefit from the service must fill out the KİTS & Document Provision Request Form
6. Request sources whose imprint information is missing/incorrect or cannot be found in any institution, the user is notified that the request has been canceled.
7. The number of resources provided through KITS and the delivery times may vary according to the conditions of the providing library.
8. The user is informed when the requested resource arrives at the library and must pick it up from the library within 3 days. Request resources that are not received will be returned.
9. The librarian in charge should be notified before the return period expires for the extension of the requested resource. Extensions are granted in accordance with the rules of the lending library.
10. Users must return the borrowed resources on time. The user is responsible for the resources not returned on time.
11. In case of damage or loss of borrowed resources, all costs are borne by the user in accordance with the rules of the provider institution.
12. The shipping and postage costs of the requests made through KİTS are covered by the user who wants to make a request.
13. Our university has an agreement with Yurtiçi Kargo.Please provide your cargo shipments with Domestic Cargo (except for special cases).

Conditions of Request from Other Libraries

1. Request resources are provided through KITS-Ankos.
2. For request books, a maximum of 3 books can be borrowed for 30 days, including the shipping time. Extensions are not available.
3. Reference resources (dictionaries, encyclopedias or theses, etc.), DVDs, audiovisual resources, special collections and periodicals are not lent.
4. In case of loss, delay or damage to the borrowed resources, the lending rules of Istanbul Gedik University Library apply.
5. The form must be filled in completely in order for the request resources to be realized in a complete and timely manner.Incomplete/incorrect requests will not be fulfilled and the requesting library will be notified via e-mail.
6. If deemed necessary, Istanbul Gedik University Library has the right to recall the loaned resources regardless of the return date.
7. Users who wish to benefit from the service must fill out the KİTS & Document Provision Request Form.
